BREAKING: Bus accident closes Connector near Merritt

Separate vehicle incidents have closed two major highways in the Okanagan.

Police say an accident involving a bus near Merritt has closed Highway 97C. The RCMP had few details in a release this evening, Dec. 24 except that B.C. Emergency Health Services are on scene and more information will be made available.

Meanwhile North Okanagan RCMP say a serious motor vehicle incident has closed Highway 97A between Mountainview Drive and Powerhouse Road. A detour has been established near McLeery Road.

The closure is expected to last several hours. If you have information or photos from either incident, send to news@infonews.ca.
