Police investigating fatal Kelowna accident involving motorcycle

One man is dead following a highway crash near Kelowna's airport involving a motorcycle and a truck.

Kelowna RCMP says Highway 97 northbound are closed and drivers are being re-routed through Airport Way but police are asking drivers to avoid the area.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 97 and Old Vernon Road.

Police are looking for witnesses or anyone with dash camera recordings from around the time of this collision to also please contact the Kelowna RCMP at (250) 762-3300.
