Tesla dealership coming to Okanagan

There are lots of Tesla cars driving around the Okanagan but the closest dealership in BC is in Surrey.

That’s about to change.

A development permit has been filed with the City of Kelowna to build a 30,250 square foot Tesla outlet in the Airport Business Park.

Located at 3425 Circuit Rd., it will occupy a 3.7-acre lot bounded by Airport Way, Pier Mac Way and Quail Ridge Boulevard, just metres west of Highway 97 and the entrance to Kelowna International Airport.

The application was filed by Urban Design Group Architects Ltd. of Vancouver and does not specifically mention Tesla, but a number of sketches accompanying the application prominently display that name.

There are four Tesla dealerships in the Lower Mainland and one on Vancouver Island.

This is the first in the Interior of BC and the only one between Surrey and Calgary.
