You have a few more months to register your off-road vehicle
THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Good news for the estimated 200,000 trail riders across the province as the government has pushed the deadline to register off-road vehicles from June 1 to Nov. 1.
According to a press release sent Wednesday, May 20, the deadline change will give users more time to prepare for the mandatory registration as well as for regulatory bodies like ICBC to finalize preparations.
Numbered stickers will also be available this fall for those who prefer not to mount licence plates on their bikes, quads, snow machines and utility vehicles.
“The addition of a sticker addresses a key request from off-road motorcycle and snowmobile groups,” the release says.
The sticker will be a similar size as the number plate, and combined cost for registration and sticker will be the same as with the plate option — $48.
Off-road vehicle owners that choose the sticker will be responsible for removing the sticker if the vehicle is resold.
“Those who have already taken advantage of the voluntary registration period and have a received a plate may exchange their plate for a sticker, if they want, at any ICBC broker at no additional cost for a limited time.”
Full details will be announced by early fall.

Just another tax grab.

no one can force anyone to do something; sure it starts out with 48 + tax, then it quickly climbs. I don’t see a reason to register and will never do so. I am acting in common law not fictional fairy tail fictional codes acts and statutes. read section 32 of the charter, see who their legislation applies to.

If you bought the Bike or Quad after 2010 used , you have to show a bill of sale and pay tax on it.
