KINGSTON, Ont. – Jackson Hulbert scored two of his three goals in overtime as the Western Mustangs beat the Brock Badgers 16-14 on Sunday for the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association’s championship.
Cole Davis and Nikolai Farrus also scored in overtime as Western won its fifth Baggataway Cup. Davis and Reid Reinholdt each had a hat trick for the Mustangs, while Thomas Masterson and Farrus both had a pair of goals. Charlie Dunn, Cody Ward and Michael Byrne added singles.
Tyrus Rehanek had three goals and two assists to lead Brock’s offence. Connor Ham also had a hat trick, while Brandon Slade and Nick Rybka added two goals apiece. Josh Harris, Alex Pace, Connor Brown and Jordan Gillis also scored.
