Arbutus Biopharma posts loss of $15.9 million in first quarter
BURNABY, British Columbia (AP) _ Arbutus Biopharma Corp. (ABUS) on Wednesday reported a loss of $15.9 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Burnaby, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense, were 19 cents per share.
The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $600,000 in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company’s shares hit $4.64. A year ago, they were trading at $14.61.
