Kamloops RCMP seize guns and stolen property

KAMLOOPS – RCMP have seized five rifles and a large amount of property at a home on Elder Road in Kamloops.

Members of the Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800-block of Elder Road Thursday night, June 5, according to a media release. In addition to the prohibited long barrel firearms, the majority of the stolen items seized were tools and construction equipment.

A man was arrested in the home and is scheduled to appear in court today, June 6, on several firearms related offences.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected.

Officers are in the process of contacting the victims of the thefts.
