Police are also reaching out to the public in the hope someone has information that can advance the investigation.

Officers were called to the report of a deceased person inside the Vernon Winter Carnival office at 3401 35 Avenue at around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, April 9, according to an RCMP media release issued today, April 15.

After almost a week of investigation, RCMP have yet to determine if the person’s death was the result of a criminal act.

“The circumstances surrounding the person’s death are considered suspicious in nature and we are reaching out to the public for information that may help advance our investigation,” Cont. Terleski said in the release.
