Bacon murder trial will stay in Kelowna

KELOWNA – A Supreme Court Justice has ruled that the trial of three men accused of murdering Jonathan Bacon in downtown Kelowna three years ago will take place in the same city the crimes were committed.

Jonathan Bacon was shot and killed while driving on Water St. in August 2011. Jujhar Khun-Khun, Jason T. McBride and Michael K. Jones are each charged with one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder.

Lawyers will occasionally request a change in venue when factors such as trial length, security and other logistics preclude access to a fair and impartial trial.
