MEXICO CITY – Prosecutors in Mexico’s capital say they’ve begun an investigation into alleged arms trafficking by Mexico City police agents.
Sunday’s statement doesn’t say how many officers might be under investigation or what the sale of the suspected operation was.
Arms trafficking is a major concern for both federal and local governments in Mexico, with weapons arriving illegally both from the United States and from corrupt police or soldiers.
