PENTICTON – The Downtown Penticton Association is hosting a new event guaranteed to tantalize taste buds.
The inaugural Chef’s Cook Off in Gyro Park, sponsored by Eckert Electric and hosted by the Downtown Penticton Association, will be held on Friday, Aug. 7.
Beginning at 2:30 p.m., four Penticton chefs will prepare a main dish of ingredients from local businesses and growers. The chefs will go two rounds until one master chef is left standing.
Look for chefs Chris Boehm from Burger 55, Chris Remington from the Lakeside, Kaila Klassen from the Guilty Kitchen and Darin Paterson of Bognars to square off against one another.
Two giant television screens, courtesy of Andre’s Electronics, will provide up close action for those in the park.
There will be live music in the bandshell.
The Cook Off is free and open to everyone.
Round one judging takes place at 4 p.m with final judging at 5 p.m.
