Kamloops International Cup wraps up Saturday with final match at Hillside Stadium

The Kamloops International Cup concludes Saturday, August 1, after bringing professional and high-level Canadian soccer to Hillside Stadium throughout the past week.

The tournament began July 25 and featured five women’s and men’s matches, along with three youth development camps led by visiting and competing clubs and this year marked a milestone for the event, with Nottingham Forest Women becoming the first professional first team to participate in the Kamloops International Cup.

Soccer supporters have one final opportunity to take in the action Saturday evening when Nottingham Forest Women face Kamloops United FC.

The match begins at 6:30 pm at Hillside Stadium, located at Thompson Rivers University, 944 Dalhousie Dr. Ticket prices vary and spectators are encouraged to confirm availability before arriving.

Throughout the tournament, Nottingham Forest Women competed against Vancouver Rise and the BC Premier League Selects before preparing to close the event against the hometown Kamloops United squad.

The men’s portion of the tournament featured Cavalry FC in matches against Kamloops United FC and the BC Premier League Selects.

Alongside the games, the Kamloops International Cup hosted youth camps for local players, allowing young athletes to train with coaches and representatives from Nottingham Forest and Cavalry FC.

For residents, Saturday’s final offers one last chance to see international and local talent compete before the 2026 tournament comes to an end.
