A suspected West Kelowna drug dealer isn't lovin' it today with potential charges against him because of a tip from the public.
The 34-year-old man was taken into custody last week when Mounties responded to a tip that someone was trafficking marijuana from a vehicle in the McDonald's parking lot located at 3605 Gellatly Road. When they arrived, they saw a white Ford F150 with Alberta plates behind the restaurant and initiated a traffic stop. The stop led to the arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
Police seized 44 grams of marijuana, $2,400 cash and a pair of brass knuckles during a search of the truck.
The man faces potential charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon. He was released on a promise to appear for court Aug. 22, 2013.
