Half-naked man assaults woman walking to work in Rutland

KELOWNA – Police need help identifying a half-naked man who grabbed the buttocks of a 24-year-old Kelowna woman on her way to work.

The woman was walking near the intersection of Mills Road and Highway 33 in Rutland just before 7 a.m. today, Oct. 14, when a man wearing nothing below the waist grabbed her from behind and ran west down Highway 33.

He was wearing a dark grey hoodie with the hood up over his head. Police searched the area but he was not located.

Anyone with any information regarding the man's identity are asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP, at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
