KELOWNA – Recognizing a need in the Okanagan for growth and leadership events specifically for women, Crowe MacKay LLP partnered with the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce to create the Pinnacle Women’s Leadership Series.

The inaugural breakfast event was held on September 29th with speaker Christina Anthony, Vice President of Odlum Brown, sharing her honest, straight-talking keynote entitled “Everyone Needs a Champion”.

Future events will continue to feature thought-provoking trailblazers who will inspire, inform and challenge the Okanagan’s women leaders of today and tomorrow.

Thanks to Crowe MacKay’s generous funding, 100% of the event’s gross proceeds have been donated to the Women’s Enterprise Centre’s mentorship programs. Established in 1995 by Western Economic Diversification Canada, to assist women in starting and growing businesses in British Columbia, the Women’s Enterprise Centre and their programs are the perfect recipient of the Pinnacle Series’ proceeds.

The Women’s Enterprise Centre has grown to become the leading business resource centre in the province for women starting, purchasing or growing a small business, providing essential business services and resources, as well as referrals to many resources and other business service providers throughout the province.
