FEDERAL ELECTION 2015: Eye on the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo race

KAMLOOPS – Conservative Party of Canada candidate Cathy McLeod was a clear winner in 2011 with 52 per cent of the 56,814 voters in the Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo riding and it's projected she'll continue to hold the reign after the 2015 election count is completed. 

McLeod has held the region for the Conservatives since she was first elected in 2008. She was re-elected in 2011.

In 2011, McLeod’s greatest challenger was New Democrat Michael Crawford with 36 per cent of the vote.

The riding was created in 2004 from a piece of the former Kamloops-Thompson riding and was renamed Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo.

There were 93,877 eligible voters heading into today's election.
