SAO PAULO – Brazilian security forces have briefly detained a 23-year-old woman who climbed over a fence and entered the residence of President Michel Temer.
The government’s Institutional Security Council says the woman was “apparently drunk” when she entered the garage of the Jaburu Palace early Saturday. The woman was taken to Federal Police headquarters and questioned before being released.
Temer was asleep inside the palace at the time.
Earlier this week, police detained a minor who rammed a car through a gate and into the garage of the official Alvorada presidential palace, though Temer does not use that residence.
