Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (14,361.88, up 102.04 points):

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up 10 cents, or 5.03 per cent, to $2.09 on 11.7 million shares. Quebec’s premier says Bombardier’s CSeries program doesn’t require immediate federal financial support but he still expects Ottawa to come through with US$1 billion in additional funding. Quebec has already made a US$500 million first payment towards its US$1-billion commitment to the CSeries.

TransCanada Corp. (TSX:TRP). Oil and gas. Up 30 cents, or 0.50 per cent, to $60.60 on 10.1 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Up 10 cents, or 2.57 per cent, to $3.99 on 8.5 million shares.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up 46 cents, or 4.95 per cent, to $9.75 on seven million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up three cents, or 0.39 per cent, to $7.73 on six million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up seven cents, or 0.97 per cent, to $7.30 on 5.7 million shares.

Thomson Reuters Corp. (TSX:TRI). Media. Up $1.13, or 2.12 per cent, to $54.40 on 488,747 shares. Thomson Reuters is selling its science and intellectual property division for US$3.55 billion in cash to a pair of private equity fund managers, including Onex (up 52 cents, or 0.65 per cent, to $80 on 143,818 shares). The division employs 4,100 people in 75 offices in 40 countries, with a headquarters in Philadelphia.
