MEXICO CITY – Four men accused of killing six policemen in a drug-plagued state in southern Mexico apparently didn’t fear the law much.
The police chief of Guerrero state said Friday the four suspects were arrested drinking on a street in the centre of the resort town of Zihuatanejo, brandishing assault rifles.
Not only did the suspects not hide, they posted a video to social media of the police officers’ bullet-ridden bodies, in which they insulted and kicked the bodies.
State police chief Pedro Almazan said the assailants “shot each one on the head” after ambushing the police patrol truck Tuesday in a rural area near Zihuatanejo.
Almazan said one of the suspects “had an AK-47 rifle with a 30-round magazine in his left hand, and a beer bottle in his right hand.”
