LAFONTAINE, Ind. – Police say three people including a homicide suspect have died after a car collided with a garbage truck in northern Indiana.
A preliminary investigation found that 19-year-old Terissa Williams of Peru, Indiana, was driving in Wabash County on Sunday morning when the car for an undetermined reason crossed the centre line and collided with the truck head-on.
Indiana State Police say Williams and her 21-year-old passengers Kaleb Marin and Thomas Reed of Marion were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Marin was a suspect in the April 25 fatal shooting of 22-year-old Jordon Richards at his home in LaFontaine. Police say guns and cash were stolen from the home. One of the stolen guns was found inside the crashed car.
The crash and slaying are under investigation.
