Man accused of falsely renting rooms, getting deliveries
SHREVEPORT, La. – Authorities say a former hotel clerk is accused of using information obtained through his job to fraudulently rent rooms and receive food deliveries.
The Shreveport Times reported Friday 28-year-old Delvin Darrell Raphiel used a friend’s information to setup a hotel honours account, and reserved rooms in 2017.
A Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office statement says he paid for the rooms with account information obtained from guests while working at a Bossier City hotel. Detectives say he sold them at lower rates and the kept profits.
He’s accused of taking hotel guests’ credit card information in 2015, and using it to purchase food deliveries.
He’s charged with offences including access device fraud. He also had several active warrants through the sheriff’s office and city of Shreveport.
It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
