Winter hours starting for landfills December to end of February

Reduced winter hours will be in effect for the Campbell Mountain Landfill, in Penticton, and Oliver Landfill from December 1 through the end of February.

Campbell Mountain Sanitary Landfill will be closed every Sunday from December 6th through the end of February, all Statutory Holidays and Boxing Day.

Campbell Mountain Landfill continues to be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Starting December 1 through the end of February, the Oliver Sanitary Landfill will reduce weekday opening hours. Monday through Friday the landfill will be open starting at Noon and closing at 3:45 pm. Saturday hours will remain 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

The Oliver Landfill is closed Sundays and on all Statutory Holidays and Boxing Day.

Residential yard waste collection in many communities stops at the end of November. Yard waste can be dropped off free of charge, up to 500 kg per load, at any landfill during open hours.
