HARTFORD, Conn. – The unsolved murder case of a Connecticut woman who was strangled 33 years ago is getting new attention.
Twenty-nine-year-old Raquel Ramirez was found dead under Interstate 91 in Hartford near the Connecticut River on June 30, 1985. The mother of three was last seen with friends in her neighbourhood between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. the same day.
Ramirez’s daughter, Brenda Perez, was 10 years old when her mother died. She and police investigators on Tuesday visited the site where her mother’s body was found to try to generate leads.
Police have investigated several possible motives but say they don’t know why someone would have wanted to kill Ramirez.
