Interstate 293 exit ramp reopens in Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.H. – An exit ramp off Interstate 293 in Manchester has reopened after more than a year of construction.

WMUR-TV (http://bit.ly/2f7Y3xr ) reports that the Exit 4 ramp reopened to traffic on Saturday. It had closed last September to allow for construction of the northbound on-ramp overpass bridge over the Piscataquog (pih-SKAT’-ah-kwahg) River.

The work was part of the I-293 widening and bridge replacement project in the vicinity of Exit 4. It includes the replacement of four “Red Listed” bridges and the rehabilitation of one “Red Listed” bridge at the I-293 Exit 4 Interchange.

Daytime lane closures are expected when state transportation officials begin paving on both sides of the highway this week.
