B.C.’s police watchdog investigating after man dies in shooting
QUESNEL, B.C. – British Columbia’s police watchdog is investigating after a person died following a shooting in Quesnel, B.C.
The Independent Investigations Office says police were called to check on a parked vehicle with a man sleeping inside early Tuesday morning.
Police say when they arrived, the man allegedly reached for a gun and shots were fired.
The Mounties say the man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say no further details will be released while the Independent Investigations Office is examining the incident.
