Morneau Shepell to provide counselling for expat employees of Allianz clients

TORONTO – Morneau Shepell and a global insurance company based in Ireland have formed an alliance to provide health and wellness services such as confidential counselling to expatriate workers of multinational companies.

Dublin-based Allianz Worldwide Care and Toronto-based Morneau Shepell say their partnership will address stress-related illness, addiction and mental health issues facing employees of global enterprises.

Financial terms of the partnership weren’t disclosed.

Morneau Shepell announced a similar partnership in April with India-based 1to1Help.net of Bangalore. Together they will provide employee assistance programs, or EAPs, to employees of multinational companies.

Founded in 1966 by the father of Canada’s current finance minister, Morneau Shepell is one of North America’s largest providers of human resources services to its clients and their employees.

Finance Minister Bill Morneau had been executive chairman until October, when he resigned the post following his election as a member of Parliament.
