SALMON ARM – RCMP investigators are examining a fatal collision involving a single vehicle in Salmon Arm earlier this week.
Around 4:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 11, Salmon Arm RCMP and East Trans-Canada Traffic Services attended a crash involving a 2005 Dodge Caravan on Highway 97B, south of Highway 1.
The van, which was travelling north, left the highway and struck a tree. The driver and only occupant was an 80-year-old woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Road and weather conditions were determined to be good at the time of the event.
RCMP Traffic Services will continue investigating the death along with the B.C. Coroners Service.
