An example of some of what was said Tuesday at the Mike Duffy trial
OTTAWA – Duffy lawyer Donald Bayne and Senate human resource officer Sonia Makhlouf had an exchange in court Tuesday about the work contracts Duffy gave to contractors such as friend Gerald Donohue, noting that they met the same standards as other senators.
Bayne: “Sen. Duffy’s contracts and the amount of detail in them and the way he described his requests are like any other senator?”
Makhlouf: “Yes.”
