Armed robbery in Salmon Arm; police on the look out for suspects

SALMON ARM – RCMP are looking for more information on an armed robbery at a gas bar in Salmon Arm on Saturday.

Two masked suspects entered the Mac’s convenience store connected to the Shell gas station at 2800 10 Ave. just before 7 p.m., Jan. 16, according to a RCMP media release.

One of the suspects pulled out a handgun demanding cash and cigarettes from the clerk.

The suspects are both described as 5’ 10” to 6’ tall, wearing hoodies and facial coverings. One suspect wore a green hoodie with a design on the front and a blue face mask. The other was wearing a black hoodie with a design on the front and a black face mask.

An RCMP service dog was called to the scene and tracked the suspects to a different location where it is believed they fled in a vehicle.
