TORONTO – The Canadian dollar closed at 100.20 cents U-S, down 41-100ths from Thursday’s close.
The S-and-P/T-S-X composite index inched up 0.07 of a point to 12,300.30.
Volume at 4:20 p.m. ET was 252.19 (m) million shares, valued at 4.04 (b) billion dollars.
In New York, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 3.53 points at 13,107.21.
The Nasdaq composite index gained 1.83 points to 2,987.95.
The New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures price for December lost one dollar, 10 cents U-S to 1,711 dollars, 90 cents an ounce.
The crude contract for December inched up 23 cents U-S to 86 dollars, 28 cents per barrel.
