iNFOnews reader surprised winner of $500 cash prize

VERNON – Lois Lepp said her husband wouldn't believe she'd really won $500 until he saw a picture of the cheque. Well, here's the evidence. 

Lepp, who runs High Country Trail Rides, won a $500 after-Christmas cash prize from Infotel Multimedia. The Salmon Arm resident thought briefly about splurging her winnings on a shopping spree, but she's just too generous for that. She plans to share it with her husband — even if he didn't believe her — and says they will probably "save it for something special."

She entered the contest on Facebook and forgot all about it until someone called and told her she was the grand prize winner.

“I’m like, ‘who’s calling?’” Lepp says with a laugh.

She’s won contests before — including one for a new washer and dryer — but is looking forward to treating herself, and her husband, an organic farmer, to something nice. Just what, she’s not exactly sure yet.
