Power outage leaves 6 stuck on roller coaster, including 3 kids; all rescued, no injuries

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Six people, including three children, had to be rescued from a roller coaster in Ohio after a power outage left them stuck.

The riders were on the Pepsi Python coaster at in Anderson Township’s Coney Island Amusement Park on Sunday when the power went out around 6:30 p.m.

Emily Adkins, the mother of one of the children, tells WXIX-TV (http://bit.ly/1IYn890 ) that they were stuck on the roller coaster for over 20 minutes.

Firefighters used ladders to rescue the riders, and the amusement park closed early due to the outage.
