Cache Creek production of Maze Runner movie halted after star hospitalized

CACHE CREEK – Production has ceased on the latest instalment of the Maze Runner film series after one of the stars was injured on set in Cache Creek.

According to a statement released by 20th Century Fox, film production on The Maze Runner: The Death Cure will be shut down while Dylan O'Brien, 24, recovers.

"He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery," the statement reads. 

Trish Knight Chernecki, spokesperson for WorkSafe B.C., says a prevention officer has been dispatched to the set in Cache Creek to investigate. There are conflicting reports on whether the incident happened yesterday or today, March 18.
