MONTREAL – The Montreal Alouettes added kicker Anthony Fera to their roster Tuesday and moved struggling Boris Bede to the six-game injured list.
The Alouettes had been trying out kickers this week with Bede in a funk that has seen him make only seven-of-16 field goals this season. Coach and general manager Jim Popp said this week Bede will stay with Montreal but it might may use a replacement when it visits the Edmonton Eskimos on Thursday night.
Fera, 25, was on the B.C.’s practice roster last season and took part in the Lions’ training camp. The American was good on 36-of-43 field goal attempts while at Penn State, where he also handled punts and kickoffs.
The Alouettes also added former B.C. quarterback Greg McGhee to their practice roster.
