Carpathian Gold Inc. (TSX:CPN). Miner. Up half-a-cent, or 25 per cent, to 2.5 cents on 5.4 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial Services. Down 17 cents, or 0.71 per cent, to $23.63 on 4.4 million shares.

Royal Bank of Canada (TSX:RY). Bank. Up five cents, or 0.06 per cent, to $78.20 on 3.7 million shares.

Lundin Mining Corp. (TSX:LUN). Miner. Down 13 cents, or 2.34 per cent, to $5.43 on 3.7 million shares.

Toronto-Dominion Bank (TSX:TD). Bank. Down 56 cents, or 1.03 per cent, to $54.01 on 3.4 million shares.

Orbite Aluminae Inc. (TSX:ORT). Miner. Down half-a-cent, or 1.96 per cent, to 25 cents on 3.3 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

CanElson Drilling INc. (TSX:CDI). Oil and gas. Up three cents, or 0.67 per cent at $4.52 on 2.5 million shares. Stock in the Calgary-based contract driller rose again a day after announcing it had agreed to a takeover by Trinidad Drilling Ltd. for either $4.90 a share or 1.06 of a Trinidad (TSX:TDG) share. Stock in Trinidad, which fell 46 cents on the news Thursday, rebounded four cents, or 0.93 per cent, to $4.32 on 1.8 million shares.
