Carpathian Gold Inc. (TSX:CPN). Miner. Down half-a-cent, or 20 per cent, to two cents on 7.8 million shares.

Stornoway Diamond Corp. (TSX:SWY). Miner. Up three cents, or 4.05 per cent, to 77 cents on 4.6 million shares.

Hudson’s Bay Co. (TSX:HBC). Retailer. Up $1.89, or 7.88 per cent, to $25.89 on 2.9 million shares. The Toronto-based company announced another step towards becoming a global retailing empire with a $3.36-billion deal to buy German department store chain Galeria Kaufhof and Inno, its Belgian subsidiary. The company views the deal as a platform for further growth beyond its North American base, where it owns the Hudson’s Bay department stores in Canada, the Lord & Taylor chain of department stores in the United States and as well as Saks Fifth Avenue.
