OKANAGAN – A lucky break has reunited a Penticton woman with a cherished piece of jewelry.
Hazel Fry of Penticton reported her ring missing March 30 after a doctor’s appointment in the 400-block of Cedar Avenue.
By chance, Nora and Gordon Harris of Kelowna found the custom-made ring later that day, and after reading reports of its loss in local media, contacted RCMP, Kelowna RCMP Const. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a press release.
Fry had given up hope on it being found and was overjoyed to get her ring back, O’Donaghey says.
“When I told her that her ring had been found, she was overwhelmed with emotion.”
