NAKUSP, B.C. – Two people are dead after a small private plane crashed in the mountains of southeastern British Columbia.
The Transportation Safety Board says a single-engine Rockwell 112B took off from Kelowna on Monday morning heading to Wynyard, Sask.
A few hours later, another aircraft picked up a signal from an emergency locater beacon between Nakusp and Revelstoke.
The wreckage of the plane was found in the snow along with the remains of the two people who were on board.
The safety board says the two dead, who have not been identified, were adults.
The aircraft was registered in Wynyard.
