Honey of an exhibit coming to Kelowna’s Mission Creek Park

KELOWNA – A popular nature exhibit in Kelowna is going to 'bee' a lot different soon.

The Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan in Mission Creek Regional Park will be buzzing with activity next week as staff prepare a new interactive exhibit set to teach about why bees are important, the relationship between bees and plants, how honey is made and what is causing a recent decline in their population.

The Unbelievable Bees exhibit will feature a main exhibit, dioramas, panels on the wall with information, games for the kids and more.

The exhibit will be open to the public through the end of August. 

The centre will be closed for setup April 18 to 21 but will reopen April 22. The exhibit will run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on weekends.
