Former rap mogul Suge Knight due back in court for hearings in murder, robbery cases

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Marion “Suge” Knight is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles court for hearings in separate murder and robbery cases filed against the former rap music mogul.

Knight changed attorneys in late May and his new counsel was given time to figure out how to proceed on the cases, both of which carry long prison sentences if the 50-year-old is convicted as charged.

The Death Row Records co-founder faces murder and attempted murder charges in a case filed after he ran over two men outside a Compton burger stand in January. Knight’s attorneys have said he was fleeing an attack.

Months earlier, a celebrity photographer accused Knight and comedian Katt Williams of stealing her camera in Beverly Hills.

No trial date has been set in either case.
