One winning ticket for Friday’s $55 million Lotto Max jackpot sold in Quebec

TORONTO – We have a winner — a single winning ticket for the $55-million grand prize in Friday night’s Lotto Max draw was sold somewhere in Quebec.

It’s the second largest lottery jackpot in Canadian history.

The largest — the Lotto 6-49 draw of Apr. 13, 2013 — had a jackpot of $63.4-million, and there were four winning tickets, each worth $15.9-million.

Thirty MaxMillions prizes of $1-million each were available in Friday night’s Lotto Max draw, and there are winning tickets for 10 of them.

The jackpot for next Friday’s Lotto Max draw on July 24th will be approximately $30-million.
