Food order and delivery firm Just Eat buys rival service Orderit.ca

TORONTO – Online food ordering and delivery service Just Eat says it has signed a deal to acquire rival Orderit.ca.

Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

Just Eat said the agreement will allow it to expand its food delivery and takeout options for customers across Canada.

Orderit.ca chief executive Cameron Reid said Just Eat is the right partner “to continue offering a great ordering experience to our customers in the future.”

Just Eat allows customers to order food for delivery from more than 5,000 restaurants in major cities including Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Regina.
