PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – An explosion and fire in a house in Prince George, B.C., has claimed the life of a man and injured three others.
Police say the man died in hospital after the fire on Saturday night, while the other men hurt are expected to recover.
RCMP say the home is well known to investigators, and witnesses and video evidence indicate the residents may have been handling a large quantity of gasoline.
A dog that was also in the home did not survive.
Police say when officers arrived at the scene, flames had consumed most of the house.
The RCMP forensic identification section and fire investigators are at the scene looking for the cause of the fire. (CKPG)
