You’ll have to wait to check out Okanagan Lake’s first and only floating restaurant

If you were planning to check out the floating barge bistro on Okanagan Lake this summer, you just missed your chance.

Operations manager Oscar Carreira said they will be finishing up construction in the off-season before re-opening for the public in late spring, 2021.

The Bulldog Okanagan Lake Bistro is the sister location to The Bulldog Grand Cafe at Silver Star Mountain Resort in Vernon.

The bistro is a collaboration between Carreira, the Bulldog’s executive chef Tyler Lafferty and the barge's owner Devin Seymour.

The floating barge is parked near Paddlewheel Park in Vernon, but the bistro may eventually move closer to a location closer to Westside Road, Carreira said.
