Robber flees when panic alarm rings

KAMLOOPS – The clerk at an 8th Street convenience store pulled the alarm when a man came in flashing the blade of a knife and demanding cash.

Police responded to the alarm at the Hasty Market and when they arrived the employee told police the alarm prompted the man to flee in a vehicle and without the money. The suspect was stopped by police while driving and arrested for the robbery.

The 34-year-old suspect will appear in court later today. He doesn't have a criminal record.
