Jackson family thanks doctors, Brazil for supporting ailing father Joe Jackson after stroke

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Jackson family is thanking the doctors who have helped their ailing father, Joe Jackson, who is recovering from a stroke.

In a statement released Tuesday, the family said they wanted to thank the Albert Einstein Hospital and its doctors in Sao Paulo “for their world-class expertise and professionalism.”

They also said their 87-year-old father is receiving “fantastic care.”

Joe Jackson arrived in Sao Paulo last month and attended several events before falling ill.

The Jackson family said they “send our love and appreciation to all the wonderful people of Sao Paulo and throughout Brazil for your amazing hospitality, support and prayers.”

“We have been deeply touched by everyone in your beautiful nation and it made a huge difference in our father’s quick recovery,” the statement read.
