Meghan Trainor cancels rest of tour because of vocal cord hemorrhage, will get surgery

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Meghan Trainor is cancelling the rest of her North American tour because of a vocal cord hemorrhage and she plans to get surgery.

The singer wrote on Instagram on Tuesday that she also has bronchitis and she’s “been coughing a lot and that pushed it over the edge.”

She wrote to fans: “I am devastated, scared, and so sorry.”

Trainor cancelled shows last month because of her damaged vocal cords. Her MTrain Tour was expected to play through September.

She wrote that she’s “determined to do what it takes to get better and come back around stronger than ever.”

The 21-year-old’s hits include “All About That Bass,” ”Lips Are Movin’” and “Dear Future Husband.”
