BERLIN – Authorities in Germany say about a dozen people have been injured after the plane they were in hit turbulence shortly before landing in Berlin.
German news agency dpa quoted fire services saying Monday that five of the injured passengers required treatment or were hospitalized.
Dpa reported that the flight by budget airline Eurowings was travelling from the southern Italian city of Lamezia Terme and that some passengers hadn’t been wearing seatbelts when the plane hit turbulence.
Eurowings couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
