KELOWNA – Police are looking for the man who allegedly stole an elderly woman's purse Monday morning.
The 79-year-old woman was walking home in the 700 block of Badke Road and pulling a folding cart full of groceries when she was shoved to the ground and her purse was taken at 10:05 a.m. Aug. 11. A neighbour saw what happened and called police.
The man ran along the walkway toward Hollywood Road north carrying the woman's purse containing her credit cards, keys and some cash.
The woman was hurt in the fall and transported to Kelowna General Hospital to be checked out. Her injuries were minor.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, 20-25 years old and athletic with short brown hair and wearing dark longer shorts and no shirt.
