Police: 3 teens shot, wounded as they leave basketball game

PHILADELPHIA – Three teenage boys have been shot in what authorities are calling an ambush as they were leaving a basketball game in Philadelphia.

Police say gunfire broke out around 10 p.m. Monday as the teens were walking from a playground following a community basketball league game. Investigators say a 15-year-old was shot in the face and is in critical condition.

A 14-year-old was shot in the arm and a 16-year-old was shot in the leg. Police say they’re both in stable condition.

Investigators say there was an altercation after a game last week involving some of the boys and the shooting could be connected.
